Josh and Jen always knew they wanted to build their forever home for their young family, a Fairhaven home.
When the couple first started looking to build their first home, they instantly fell in love with one of our previous designs but unfortunately it was out of their budget. Josh explained they always intended on “upgrading to a Fairhaven home”.
“We wanted to upgrade from our previous property to have more space for our expanding family and for entertaining as we both have big families and love to host everyone, especially with Jen’s family living interstate.” said Josh.
“We already had the previous design in mind so found a similar design, went and visited the display of the Newport 413 and immediately fell in love with it!!”
What’s not to love?! Josh and Jen incorporated quite a few features that was in the Edgebrook display and added more features that were more to their liking.
Their favourite feature in the home is the open floor plan and the island bench in the Kitchen. “They do say the heart of the home is the Kitchen.”
Once the pair reached their savings goal, they found a block in the South East and met with their New Home Sales Consultant and asked about turning it into a House and Land package with fixed site costs.
Josh and Jen highly recommends their interior designer from the MyHaven Studio. “[She] was excellent allowing us the freedom to choose what we liked and then giving input when we were unsure or if she thought something would match nicely with our other selections.”
“We went with a Modern style with timber floorboards, dark cabinetry and light bench tops.” says Josh.
The non-negotiables for their Newport were double vanity, air-conditioning, dishwasher located in the Butlers Pantry and no sink in the island bench of the Kitchen.
“Our Client Relationship Officer and Site Supervisor were both outstanding and went above and beyond!” Josh outlined.
“They were always quick to reply to any queries and thorough with keeping us up to date with the process of the build.” He continued.
“They were always kind and professional and were more than willing to accommodate us, even allowing us to have walkthroughs at the different stages of the build. They made for an excellent building experience.” He concluded.
The happiest moment of their build was receiving they keys to their forever home.

Reiterating their Newport is their forever home, the pair would build with Fairhaven again as “every step of the process has been outstanding from choosing the floorplan, the MyHaven interior design process and the build.”
