Sophie and Josh had rented for years and bought their fixer upper first home before deciding to build their dream home with Fairhaven.
“We were wanting to build something we could grow into, something that has everything we need and want in a forever home.” The pair outlined.
Josh being a carpenter has very high standards, “Fairhaven were the only company I was happy to consider building with.”

The couple had purchased their block of land in the Geelong region prior to choosing to build with Fairhaven.
Sophie described the Fairhaven displays as “Well presented and designed. It was a very easy decision to pick which design we wanted to go with and what options to change.”
The MyHAVEN colour appoint was easy and stress free as it could have been as it was completed virtually due to Melbourne’s lockdown.
“Our Interior Designer was a god send and helped us in so many ways. From her recommendations to her tips and tricks. She was amazing and we honestly believe this process wouldn’t have been so easy to do virtually if it wasn’t for her.”
“The best part of the building process was Josh being a part of it. Doing some of the work on our house as he is a Fairhaven carpenter sub-contractor.”
Both Sophie and Josh said the “whole process has been magical.” They loved seeing the design on paper to seeing it come to life.
“The compliments we have been getting from our Site Supervisor and trades on-site has been encouraging. The best part is receiving our keys!” they concluded.
When asked what their favourite feature in the home they answered the Kitchen.
“Featuring ample storage space, luxe bench tops and overall finishes. It is very warm and welcoming.”

“They are easy to communicate with, on time with their updates and enthusiastic. When we were excited with updates, they were too. When we were disappointed with delays that couldn’t have been helped, they were empathetic. We really felt like they were there with us every step of the way.”
The pair said you’ll be in good hands with capable tradesman and supervisors to help during the build.
“Building can be stressful, and it was at times, but Fairhaven reassured us and were able to step us through the whole process. We felt confident without choice and trusting in the team.”
